Abstract:
Background: Testicular rupture is one of the rarest forms of testicular injury which needs early diagnosis and timely surgical correction to prevent delayed complications like infertility.
Case Presentation: Here we present a 21-year-old gentleman who presented with alleged history of injury to scrotal area by a football two days ago. Ultrasound showed a defect in the tunica albuginea and extrusion of the testicular parenchyma.
Conclusion: Ultrasound plays a major role in reaching the correct diagnosis as the defect in the tunica albuginea and extrusion of the testicular parenchyma could be exquisitely demonstrated. Nevertheless, anatomical knowledge of the testis and its coverings is very crucial in arriving at the proper diagnosis.
