Abstract:
Neurofibroma of the kidney is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor with only 9 cases reported worldwide. We present a case of a 33-year-old woman who presented with left abdominal pain. Radiological investigations showed a large complex parapelvic cyst with a central solid component in the left kidney, with a suspected clinical diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma. Left radical nephrectomy was performed. Histological and immunohistochemical findings confirmed the lesion to be a neurofibroma of the kidney.
